Shirley Hitt: I am so fortunate to be in Huffman ISD...principal of the very high school from which I graduated! Once I crossed that stage (SEVERAL years ago), I viewed Huffman as the small town I loved, but couldn't wait to leave for bigger and better things. When I married and had my own family, I viewed Huffman as the small town I loved and couldn't wait to return...this time as a parent and educator! After working in 2 very large 5A school districts and living a "city life," I knew I was ready to return to my roots. I've been fortunate enough to have gained most of my experiences in education right here. I am so proud of the growth our district has made over the years; I am equally proud thinking of where we will be in the next 10 years. My 3 daughters have received excellent educations and great memories in Huffman ISD. Go Falcons!
